I am going to tune my bike this weekend and in preparation, I was reading all
my manuals on the bike. I have two Honda shop manuals (one domestic and one
from the UK) along with the Clymers and Haynes. I read in the one from the UK
that to adjust the cam chain tensioner, you do it with the engine running at
about 1000 rpm. I remember that there was lots of discussion on the two
methods and this surprised me. Since I always believe that the OEM knows more about
their bike than anyone else, I guess this will be my method.

The bike is a 78 CB750K8 and the related manual is for this specific bike.
Other years may be different so I have no intent of starting a war on the
merits of the two different methods.
