I'd say that there is nothing unusual about the 750A in comparison to the regular 750's of that era. You might look for the kickstarter under the seat as well as the tools. The kickstarter is harder to replace though not really needed on this electric start bike. Keep in mind that you cannot push start this bike.
There are many differences between the shiftless and regular models as well as many similarities. Some differences include frame, battery, tranny (duh!), carbs, wheels, tires, front fender, seat, tachometer (none), fuel gauge (they never work), gauges, fuel tank, milder crank, handlebars (I think), no clutch lever, exhaust systems.....I'm sure there are others. Aftermarket exhausts are available. I have a MAC which works and even sounds pretty good, but is not 100% compatible with the centerstand. It can be fixed. Also, it is louder than stock. The engine can be worked on (parts removed) without taking it out of the frame. I think the stock seat is the most comfortable of the CB750 line BUT on this, YMMV. King/Queen seats are available.
