OK all, I'm about three months late on this thread so be patient with me. About a month ago my 750 blew the main fuse right after a short high speed run on the highway. Several fuses later I removed the fuse box from the mountings rode home with the fuse box dangling at my knee, and all was well. The problem went away till today. I fired the bike up after a week. It was a bit reluctant. Grumbled a bit and at first felt like it was on three cyls, I reved it a bit high and a half mile from home it blew the main again. I tried the spare (15a) pop and went up to 30 amp which gave a nice slo motion sizzle. The 750 was never meant to be pushed uphill.
So anyone have a good diagnostic thread of the basics of electrical troubleshooting to forward me? I've net had a fuse/short problem so please don't assume anything about my ability:-) Thanks!
