As an enhancement to the PDF file (http://www.dansmc.com/cb400f.pdf)
made available to us by John Baker, here is another way to get info on our
bikes:
If you got to: http://www.powersportspro.com/partsfish/login.asp and
become a registered PartsFish user, you can set up a place where you can
visit, look up parts fiche for the bike you have entered into your setup,
and
find part numbers and prices.
As an example, I have both my CB440F and the ST1100 in my setup - and
they actually name it "My Garage" on the website where you logon to.
To find a part number, go to a fiche and hover over the Add To Cart
link. A line of text appears at the bottom of the screen and the series of
numbers just after the letters 'ISBN' is the part number for the selected
part.
Once I have the part number, I can phone several different on-line
suppliers to determine the best price.
The ones I've been using for comparison purposes is Powersports
themselves (800-964-1882), and Service Honda: http://servicehonda.com/
(800-828-5498).
