In 78 even K motors used F2 style heads. So it is definitely going to lower 
the compression to swap a 78 head onto an earlier motor. Also on F heads 2 
of the Head stud bolt holes are not solid all the way thru and it will leak 
oil from the bottom up out the two rear center stud passages if you do not 
deal with that somehow.
