I just went with a set of Total Seal piston rings in my 1958 Jaguar XK150. They are basically two thinner rings in the same land, overlapping at the gaps, so there is effectively no gap. This greatly reduces normal blow-by, and can even improve horsepower slightly. I highly recommend them, and they were actually less expensive than the stock (Jaguar) rings. You can give Total Seal the required (bore, ring land, etc.) dimensions, and they will custom make you a set, including the oil control rings, probably for less than a new set of rings from Honda.
I know you already purchased some rings, but since you still have the engine apart... Have fun, Edward '77 CB550 '97 Yamaha Seca II
