First, the 650 issue. The 650 was a chain driven SOHC until 83 so if the bike in question is an 81 it's one oif ours As eor first bike, mine was a stepo through Honda 50. I bought it from a woman at work for $25 with no title and the kick start shaft was sheared of. No problem, just push and jump on then drop it in gear. No clutch butr a three speed tranny. I sold it for $25. Next came a Honda CL160 that my friend bought while stationed on Guam during the Vietman war. He was in the Navy for four years and was never on a boat the whole time. He sold it while on Guam and bought a Triumph but ran into his buddy years later and bought it back. I rode it for about two weeks before realizing I needed More Power! That's when I fell in love with SOHC's and Louise, a ratty 550. She and I have real history and I made her beauiiful again. Best bikes in the world IMHO
