My first bike was a '73 Honda 350-4. Purchased sight unseen from a
dealer taking it in trade. It had 275 miles on it (in 1975 when I bought
it) and I paid 1250 for it. I remember there was a 400F (yellow?) brand
new on the floor for 1400, but I liked the green color or the 350 better.
My wife and I rode it to PA from Maine the next year for vacation. I kept
the bike until 1985, sold it for 500 with about 36,000 miles on it. Never
let us down and was very good on gas. Bought a 750 in '92 but missed the
350 so much I eventually bought a basket case '75 400F and customized it
(it is metallic green like my 350F was). Still have a 750 for the wife
and I, but the 400F is the love of my (bike) life.
