Hey Cammers,
Thanks to Michael Rieck and non-list member Dave Gilbert, I have what is
estimated at 850 pounds of Seeley race frames, tank, Seeley front end,
fairing, seat etc, and two hot rodded engines, plus the collection of three
people's worth of extra CB750 parts they had laying around. All in all, its
two crates of parts weighing an estimated 850 pounds.
I've done some searching on the 'net, for freight companies. The crates
can be loaded by Dave at his shop with his fork lift. I would prefer the
crates to come to a central dock/hub somewhere in the New Orleans area and
then I can drive there in my truck and get the crates fork lifted into my
truck. So far, the ball park estimate, based on the crate dimensions was
around $705.
Does anyone know of a cheaper freight company? I am Ok with it taking a
while to get here. It would be coming from MA to New Orleans. I have
almost zero experience with this. What about rail? Anyone ever moved two
heavy crates kinda on the cheap?

Thanks!!!

Bud in New Orleans
