hello all, the problem has been fixed. i found a document in sunsolve.sun.com that pointed that resetting the controller back to the default situation where A is active and B - passive can be done with the following command: rdacutil -m 1 <raid_module_name> the other problem with the "environment card" was due to a wrong NVRAM of the controller itself. i fixed this with flashing the appropriate NVRAM for the A3500 array. the procedure of doing this can be fount in the rm 6.22.1 release notes document.
