Leonardo,
look how many bytes it's said after Size tag. The difference IMHO is
as follows:
iostat -E gives size of the hard drive as the drive itself reports its
size
Format on the other hand gives _formated_ capacity.
Then marketing departments count 1000 bytes as 1 Kbyte and 1000 Kbytes
as 1 Mbyte and so on ( in order their disks to look bigger :-) ) Some
vendors state this on disk label, some not.
And your OS count bytes the proper way ( 1024 bytes is 1Kbyte ... )
and this is the reason it shows less space
