I have one 3500 machine which was running sar to collect stat info, recently was upgraded (clean install) from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9. Before the upgrade all data was backed up to tapes....
Now I just want to ask if is safe restore all sar info collected on Solaris 8 and start again collect data with the Solaris 9 sar... in terms of I can access all data pre and after upgrade ????
I was not present at reinstall time so I really don't know I partitions were moved... but this is a minor issue!? rigth?
