I got two hints so far:

Thanks to Glenn
1. In HyperTerminal 9600/8/n/1 hitting ctrl+break continously after the
initial bootmessage.
-- but there is no initial bootmessage. The only thing I can get is a cursor
blinking in the line after 'LOM Event: power on'. I also tried to break
using Alt-B in TerraTerm... Nothing.

2. telling LOM 'bootmode forth' or 'bootmode reset_nvram'
-- but 'bootmode' seems not to be a valid LOM command in the T1 105. Also, I
can only enter 13 characters for a command.
