Well, no you can't !
This is the problem - slice 2 represents the whole disk and it's used
ONLY for backup the whole disk. If you want to use whole drive as one
do as Stoyan said - with format define one slice ( but not 2 !!! )72 G big,
and then newfs it.
Now this is what you are doing - you are newfsing slice 2, so there are some
file system structures created and placed in beginning of the slice ( and disk, as
slice 2 is the whole disk ). Now when you try to mount slice 6 as UFS,
the OS looks for the same structures in order to work with this file
system. If slice 6 does not represent the whole drive, OS will not
find the structures and therefore will not recognize the file systems
that it on that slice ( actually you don't have file system there )
and will give you an error.

BTW newfs command is intelligent enough to work with raw disks even if
you give block device as parameter
