Dear solaris users: I have a Ultra5 in an Ultra10 case, it works great and I get the added PCI slot and second barracuda. UltraSPARC-IIi 360MHz, OpenBoot 3.25, 256MB (50ns) ram.
I was wondering if this system, with an AverMedia(bt8v8) video capture card and a DVD burner, could be used as a media to file converter. I plan to use it to record TV programs and backup DVDs to divx and DVD. The http://sourceforge.net/projects/bt848x/ drivers page dose not have a mailing list like this. I was just wondering if there where any solaris sparc users who think this could work. I have a USB2.0 card and I would like to use a ps2 mouse and keyboard(via a usb 2 ps2 converter), I found ought today that I need the sparc KB pluged in to get video :(Xfree86 can fix this can't it?).
