Andre
try these steps
1. Edit vfstab (on the box that is sharing)
>vi /etc/dfs/dfstab
insert
share -F nfs /opt/logs
2. Start the NFS Server
/etc/init.d/nfs.server start
3. Check is exported
>exportfs
To Mount on another server
1. create a mount point
>mkdir a
2. start NFS client
>/etc/init.d/nfs.client start
3. mount the nfs
>mount -F nfs hostname:/opt/logs /a
to unmount
umount /a

Subject: [Solaris-Users] NFS Share
Solaris 8
I am trying to setup an NFS share between server A and B.
On B I declare the share as follow:
Share -F nfs -o rw=A -d "Share Drive" /opt/logs
On A I mount the share as follow:
Mount -F nfs B:/opt/logs /mnt/B
>From this command I get the following error:
"nfs mount: B:/opt/logs: Permission denied"
Did I miss a step somewhere?
Thanx.
