Gracias Julio, but no, this is a fresh install of solaris 8, with just the mandatory gzip, top, bash, and openssh from freeware.
I guess some "key" has to be generated, but I don't know how or where. IIRC, there use to be a program ssh_keygen or something along that line, and some config. file... my memory isn't as good as before...
