On i86pc you can have multiple OS'es per disk, however I'd still stick up to separate disks - it is possible for example SunOS 5.8 to access data you don't want to from 5.7 or 5.9 partiotions, for reason they share a common filesystem. If possible, get a second hand sun4u box from an inet auction/reseller and forget about x86 Solaris.(Just my 2cents.)
