use "useradd -?" to get the syntax of the command or "man useradd"

the -d option specify the home dir.

Subject: [Solaris-Users] Useradd and automount

I am running a SunBlade 1500 with Solaris 2.9 and with no NFS and using
useradd to add user accounts.

I expected that useradd would append an entry (e.g. 'www
sandi:/export/home/www' when i add user 'www') to the end of auto_home
automatically, but it doesn't seem to.

Should it?

Am I expected to add such lines to auto_home 'by hand' with an editor,
or is there some other utility that does this?

Note that I am not using the Sun GUI tools because this machine is
being used as a server and does not have a directly connected monitor.

Nigel
