1. run */ndd /dev/hme adv_autoneg_cap/* to check whether the auto negotiation is enabled.
2. run /*ndd /dev/hme adv_100fdx_cap* /to check whether the 100mbps full duplex is enabled.

If all those settings are ok , go to sunsolve.sun.com to check whether you miss certain patch.
Also check /var/adm/messages to get any warning or error message.
At last, if all these wouldn't help, switch your machine to OK prompt and run */test net/* to test the on-board Ethernet controller. Or set* setenv diag-switch? true *at OK prompt and then reboot to run full hardware diagnostic.

Good luck!

Hi, folks!

When I try to grab any data from my sun server, the speed is *amazing*, almost stopped. What could cause this? I'm using Solaris 8 sparc.

RGDS!
