Hello.

I have a dds-4 tape, i want to backup 70GB on this tape(35GB each one) but return the next message on console:
EOF(the tape cartridge is new, and try several times with the same messages)this tape must retrieve 40GB compressed but don�t do it!!,
what�s going on?

hello Marcos,

the native capacity of the DDS-4 drive with a DDS-4 tape is 20 Gb. it
could be that the data that you backup can not be compressed so much
(2:1). you could try to backup ~20/25Gb and see if the operation will
complete without an error.

I already try this on other server with the same drive and tape, i did backup up 25GB without trouble;
on which it depends the compression of data?
