That's a nice doc to follow. One tunable param i don't remember them mentioning is maxuprc. It can also useful to set the appropriate limit values for every users' $SHELL system-wide profile. I run a few servers for use by a number of students, and limiting processes, memory use and other resources really comes in handy when a whole class misplaces the 'exit' in their forking scripts. To the original poster: what exact problems are you encountering, and on what exact hardware?
