Hello, I'm using this textbook
http://mindview.net/Books/TICPP/ThinkingInCPP2e.html and I'd like to discuss the topics with other programmers using solaris x86. from the companion CD I did install g++ , emacs and gmake. under /etc/profiles I did set the paths and environment variables. I'm using bash Now I can invoke emacs, g++ and gmake. But I'm not able to compile all the examples offered. Vol one is ok, but not vol two, Where can this be discussed? I'd like to port STLPort to g++ under solaris x86, and to use some of the more sophisticated templates from STL, which are not supported from all C++ compilers. With minor modifications if the makefiles, many of the examples run, But I also have some problems with gmake and I'd like to know if Solaris has a make utility. Yours Sincerely Morten Gulbrandsen _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users
