Hello All;
I am trying to boot up off of the Solaris installation CD-ROM. The Ultra Enterprise 2 has an OS (Solaris 5.6). I want to scrub that, and install a Solaris 7. Everytime I boot it up it stops and displays the following: SUNW, hme0, - Link Down - cable problem? Of course, it's down...I don't have it plugged in...I don't want it on the network at this time.
How do I boot from the installation CD-ROM to begin the install process? I have combed this list, and I do not see this addressed. The Sun manuals are hopeless. -Can't find anything on the Net either...Can u help me? Thanks in advance for any info or for pointing me in the right direction.
