Does anybody know whether the version of Solaris 10 that was released is the same as the last beta that was available for download? (...and what rev was that?)
Thanks.

Despite all the noise and advertising Sun is doing for Solaris 10, it hasn't been released yet. The most current release of Solaris is Solaris 9 09/04.Solaris 10 was officially "announced" on November 15, 2004 -- but it is not "shipping". I understand it will be shipping Real Soon Now, but I also hear that the initial release will be lacking ZFS and Janus, which should make it into the first update I would think.
You of course can still get a "preview" version through Solaris Express, the current build is Solaris 10 11/04 - build 72.
Hope that clears things up a bit! -- Jason Santos http://www.megaslow.net _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users
