I have a sb100 running Solaris9 2/02, just did a new install from Solaris 8, the sunpci [400MHz) drivers will not install ie complains about a missing driver Sunpcidrv.290 (I think) . Has anyone run the old sunpci co-processor card with Solaris 9 ? Works fine with 8.
Also it appears the pppd is broken, it "hangs up" after a while, is this a known problem or is it me ?

i guess that your car is SunPCi Option 1131A-64.2, 375-0095. i searched in the drivers page (http://www.sun.com/desktop/products/sunpci/sunpci_download.html) and i am afraid that the latest drivers available do not support Solaris 9.

o Solaris 2.5.1, 2.6, 7 or 8 operating environment

as for PPP solaris 9 uses the new PPP 4.0 instead of asppp. i am not aware of known problems that will cause the daemon to hang. did you installed the Recommended Cluster Patch ?
