thanks for responding. I think i understand what each letter stands for (c = controller, t = target, d = device, s = slice), but I don't know what they actually are. The controller and slices are not so mysterious to me but i'd like to know more about the target and device. I looked in the docs.sun.com website and found 817-1985.pdf System Admin Guide, but there is no information about c/t/d/s.
