Does anyone know where I can find the XVideo extension for Solaris 10 running on a Sun Blade 100? I have a DVD player on a Linux laptop and a large monitor on the Blade, so I would like to display the DVD output (video and sound) from the laptop on the Blade. The Blade does not have a DVD drive, on a CD-ROM.
After setting xhost on the Solaris/Blade to accept connections from the laptop, I use ssh to login on the laptop and set the DISPLAY variable on the laptop to the IP address of the Solaris/Blade (export DISPLAY=192.168.2.2:0.0). Then I execute the video player command. However, I get this error message on the monitor of the Solaris/Blade: Xlib: extension "XVideo" missing on display "192.168.2.2:0.0". I'm able to run other X11-based client programs on the laptop and have them display on the Blade's X11 server, so the settings of xhost on the Blade and DISPLAY on the laptop are correct. I have searched for the XVideo extension for X11 on Solaris 10 Sparc release but can't find it. If anyone has a suggestio, I would very much greatly appreciate. -- TIA, TT _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users
