Well I'm not a complete newbie, as I've used Solaris at work for years
and years, but never as an administrator.

I am in the process of setting up a new home system and would like
some suggestions on installing Solaris 10 on an x64 system.

I checked the HCL, and I've seen some conflicting information. I've
got a Shuttle SN95G5V2 with an AMD 64 CPU, an SATA hard disk and a
Gigabit ethernet port.

Unfortunately it sounds like the SATA drive and the ethernet are not
working with the latest release. Are there plans to support this
hardware soon or is my best bet to just use IDE and PCI connections?

Also, there's no onboard video on this box. Does anyone have any
suggestions on what would be a good choice for a video card?

Thanks and best regards,
Steve
