I guess what I wondering is in a vanilla install of Solaris 2.8 what kinds
of applications etc. can someone in the staff group run and how dangerous
are they.

Thanks,
Joan

Any permissions granted the "staff" group will be inherited by all it's
members.

Everyone,

I know the staff account should generally only be given to system
administrators. Could anyone help me with refining exactly what you would
be giving a user if you put him in the staff group?

TIA,
Joan
