This sounds more like a scripting problem then a binary
incompatibility. The program is probably a shell script. Take a
look at it, maybe it's using a weird shell version or something.

hello,
you can not run Solaris SPARC binaries on the Solaris x86 platform
- this is not supported so you will need a Solaris x86 port of this
application.
checking the arriscad web site i found this:
Arris CAD
Platform Support:
Microsoft Windows 95/98,NT on Pentium / X86 PC's, DEC Alpha
Sun Solaris 1 (sunos4.1.3c & up) on SUN SPARCstation
Sun Solaris 2 (sunos5.5.1) on SUN SPARCstation, UltraSPARC's
SGI IRIX 5.3 and up on INDY, Indigo, O2, Octane, Oynx
you should probably contact the company and ask if they plan to
port the application to Solaris x86.
greetings,
Stoyan
