Thanks for the reply.
Hmmm. I'm not seeing anything in showrev -p that shows what patch
cluster all the patches installed on the system were installed from. The
showrev -p command gives you a list all the individual patches, but from
what I can see, says nothing about a bundle that was applied. I probably
was not clear in my original email. I'm just looking for cluster version
information. Does this make my request clearer? Since there were many
different recommended patch clusters issued for Solaris 8, how would one
go about finding out which one was installed?
For instance, say I install a recommended patch cluster issued by Sun
with a release date of 6/19/2003. Obviously that will install a bunch of
patches on my system. I'm not necessarily concerned with what individual
patches were installed, rather is there a file or command that will tell
someone after me (or if I forget) that the 6/19/2003 bundle was what was
installed?
Thanks again,
Mark

Subject: [Solaris-Users] File/command that shows current patch cluster
installed?
Hello,
I inherited a system that has Solaris 8 installed. I'm looking to find
out exactly which recommended patch cluster was installed, so I can
install that same bundle on a 2nd machine. I can see via "uname -v" what
core patch was applied, but I don't know how to equate that to what
bundle was applied (ie 6/19/2003 bundle). Is there a command or file
that will show me what bundle was applied? Or is there a document that
matches what is seen in uname -v with a bundle release date?
Thank you.
