Hi NArendra,
On every row of nsswitch.conf is what parameter is taken form what
name service, i.e. something like:
hosts files, dns
means that hosts will be looked up in local files first, and then DNS
server, configured in resolv.conf will be asked.
For detailed explanation please read man page on nsswitch.conf ( man
nsswitch.conf )
