Your advice worked and I was able to get pkg-get working.

hello Glen,

it seems that the pkg-get scripts thinks that the package CSWossl i
already installed and not up to date... you can check is you have this
package installed already with: pkginfo |grep -i cswossl. if the
package
is installed use: pkg-get upgrade to upgrade all installed packages to
their latest versions, if not you can try installing it with:
pkg-get -i openssl.
