it also shows conifigured and ok. I have tried running this already.
Everything sees the drive except the format command.

Subject: [Solaris-Users] Problems mounting USB external drive on solaris 9?

All,
I am currently having problems mounting an external 250GB USB drive. When I
run dmesg I can see that the kernal sees it. However using the format -e
command I dont see it. If I run iostat -En I can that it is there and it is
ok. However I cannot get format to see it. So that I can label it then format
the drive that so that I can use it. I am out of guessing. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Jason
