Hm.. There's a procedure for installing Solaris over an ethernet network (not necessarily simply IP). It's all covered in the installation manual. For Solaris 9 (I'm assuming 09/04, but check the version you've got), I'd start here: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-5768 Chapter 12 starts the overview of network installation. I'm sure there are some basic web tutorials out there somewhere. But most of it boils down to running 'setup_install_server' on your jumpstart server and then running 'add_install_client' to configure the machine you want to install. > I know you need a flash archive, but beyond that, I'm not too familiar > with the process.
