Maybe this document might help you: "SMF in Solaris 10" -
http://www.sun.com/blueprints/0206/819-5150.pdf
Look at section "Creating a New SMF Service", sub-section "Constructing a
New SMF Service - An Example".

I think an easier way is to have apache running as legacy_run. However, I
don't remember anymore where I read how to do it.

 Hello Friends,

I tried to create an user account in Solaris 9 (SPARC
PLATFORM) using the following command.

 useradd -u 101 -g other -d /export/home/student -m
student

But after pressing the enter key i got the message

"Unable to create home directory. i/o error". I am
unable to create any directory in /export/home. I have
checked the permission of home directory. What may be
the problem. Could you help me please in handling this
problem ?

Regards
Sudhir
