I called a salesperson in Milwaukee yesterday to get a quote because we want to
run Solaris on some Dell 2970 servers. He told me that Oracle isn't allowing
the licensing of Solaris on non-Sun hardware anymore. Has anyone else heard
this? He said he was going to go back and verify, but I'd like to know if
anyone else has heard this. I'm hoping this guy just got confused about the "no
more free Solaris".
