Happy new year to you too!  I had never heard the term "decim" before 
downloading Solfege.  But I'm not a music major, so that didn't surprise me.  
But my girlfriend, who was a music major, says she's never heard "decim" 
either, and that she's always called it a "tenth".  I figure, even if "decim" 
is considered more correct in some obscure circles, you might as well call it a 
"tenth", since that's certainly in common use.
