I have made a prototype rhythm editor widget that works fine. Now I
realised that the mpd module needed some serious refactoring, so that the
rhythm editor and the music displayer can work on the same data structures.
This is progressing nicely now, and I will make a development release
(3.17.0) as soon as the new mpd code can replace the old. Then 3.17.1 will
include a rhythm editor widget that we will use for rhythm dictation.
When done, we should look at the other points in this bug report and then
stabilize and release it as 3.18.0.
