This is a known problem with 3.14, and 3.14 is an old release that won't
get bug fixes.
The easy workaround for this is to open the solfege preferences window,
click the
"Interface" tab and check "Display the user manual in web browser".
In more recent version of Solfege the whole help browser have been removed
and it uses a web browser all the time.
