Hi f, I'm sorry I never did respond when this first came across the devel list. I don't know the answer. I'm pretty sure this happened to me once, but I don't have any notes about how I fixed it. My best guess is that it worked after simply uninstalling and reinstalling the solfege port, and so I didn't make a note of it. But it's also possible there was some other solution and I was just too lazy to make a note. Either way, uninstalling and reinstalling (just the solfege port, not MacPorts) would be worth a shot, especially because the portfile was updated in January. I suggest running the following commands: "port uninstall solfege", "port clean solfege", "port selfupdate", and finally "port install solfege".
