New issue 235 by [email protected]: Sound doesn't work with OSSv4
http://code.google.com/p/solfege/issues/detail?id=235
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install solfege with enabled oss.
2. Start solfege.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
"The sound init failed: [Errno 2] No such file or
directory: '/dev/sequencer2'
You should configure sound from the 'Sound' page of the preferences window.
It is also possible that the OS sound setup is incorrect."
In Preferences->Sound I get:
"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/solfege/solfege/mainwin.py", line 650, in
open_preferences_window
self.g_config_window = ConfigWindow()

connections = solfege.soundcard.alsa_sequencer.get_connection_list()
File "/usr/share/solfege/solfege/soundcard/alsa_sequencer.py", line 122,
in get_connection_list
mode = alsaseq.SEQ_NONBLOCK)
alsaseq.SequencerError: Failed to create sequencer: No such file or
directory"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Gentoo Linux amd64. solfege-3.19.9
