Programming? What do you think I am asking you to do? I am not sure which PDF you downloaded, but I am pretty sure there is no freely available detailed description of Gordon's patterns. The details are provided in: http://www.giamusic.com/search_details.cfm?title_id=5948 http://www.giamusic.com/search_details.cfm?title_id=1487 http://www.giamusic.com/search_details.cfm?title_id=1594 Given that there is no experience with Gordon's method here, as far as I can tell, I am curious whether the developers are interested in adding it to the solfege software or eager to collaborate on adding it. I have some experience with python programming so perhaps I can be of some assistance. I can also solicit programming and musical help from the Music Learning Theory (MLT) community. I don't think there is much feature development needed. It looks like solfege already offers most of what is needed. Adding MLT should not involve much more than designing a new set of exercises. > so please send me a reminder if you don't hear from me in 2-3 weeks. > > > http://giml.org/mlt/about/ > > > > A core facet of Gordon's theory is his work to sequence tonal and > > rhythmic patterns by difficulty: > > > > http://www.giamusic.com/search_details.cfm?title_id=5948 > > > > There is commercial software to assist with training using Gordon's > > patterns: > > > > http://www.giamusic.com/search_details.cfm?title_id=10443 > > > > However, GNU solfege seems fairly close to being able to provide similar > > functionality. > > > > Can a developer comment? -- Joshua N.
