Yup.... these guys ran with it nicely. I was hoping folks would
contribute these kinds of things directly to the Apache community and
allow it to be managed along with Solr itself, which is a job I can't
currently manage myself. Volunteers welcome! I have big dreams of
an even slicker Ruby Solr DSL that is not joined at the hip to
ActiveRecord, but blends well with it. Ruby could become a very
slick and powerful way to get data into Solr, without a (traditional
relational) database being in the mix.
