: exception of how the license and attributions are included. I've : changed the license and included the LICENSE and NOTICE files with my : source. I just followed the directions at : : http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html#apply : : Will I or the company need to sign a CLA now as well?
I'm a little fuzzy on the exact details of when a CLA, CCLA or Software Grant needs to be signed ... a CLA is definitely required before anyone becomes a committer, and a software grant form is needed when *large* code bases are donated -- but when dealing with patches, or contributions of only a few files the check box in Jira when submiting an attachment seems to be enough "legal papertrail" it certainly doesn't hurt to send in a CLA, and if your company is willing to send a CCLA that's even better -- but i'm not sure if it's mandatory for a contribution of this size as long as you are willing to assert that you have the legal right to "Grant license to ASF for inclusion in ASF works (as per the Apache License §5)" : through or not (it was only 7k in a tarball so I thought it was worth : a shot). Since it didn't, I'll provide a link below. Also this gives : me a change to include PHPdoc files as well which should be a good : reference for understanding what I did. as i mentioned: go ahead and open a Jira issue and attach your zip file there (all code contributions have to go through Jira) -Hoss
