Shouldn't this work too? SELECT * FROM table2 WHERE IS NOT NULL ${table1.somethin_like_a_foreign_key} AND ${table1.somethin_like_a_foreign_key} > 0 AND id = ${table1.somethin_like_a_foreign_key}
