Not crazy -- but be aware of a few *key* caviates. 1. Do good testing on a stable snapshot. 2. Don't get surprised if you have to rebuild the index from scratch to upgrade in the future. The official releases will upgrade smoothly -- but within dev builds, anything may happen.
