from 1.4 to 3.6

 I hope this doesn't turn out to be a very stupid question. I have 
upgraded from solr 1.4 to 3.6 and now in the response that I am getting 
from solr maxScore field in the [response] is missing. I am doing 
something wrong? how can I get it back?
