Jeff,

First of all, do an upgrade on both boxes to firmware 6.3.x.0

VPN on 6.2.x.x is, at best, shaky and forward/backward incompatible.

Then get back to us with a status.

Subject: [SonicWALL]- disable sec association

Hi all,

just set up a vpn between the soho3 and the tele3, firmware version 6.2.
After getting this set up, I wanted to disable the security association
that
I had created for myself, but leave it intact if the customer needs my
help
in the future. After everything had been set up and working, I walked
the
customer through disabling my sa (customer was at his remote site).
After
he disabled my sa, the vpn connectivity was lost for his sa as well
(even
after restarting the host site sonicwall). My first thought was that he
had
just disabled the wrong sa, but that is not the case. I called SW tech
support, but they were not able to offer any additional suggestions.
Has
anyone run into this issue before and knows how to solve it?

the host site has fixed IP and the remote site is dhcp assigned.

thanks

Jeff
